RESOLUTION NO. 2024-115
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF $1,828,000 IN MEASURE H GRANT FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE CRISIS HOUSING PROGRAM AT HOPE FOR HOME HOMELESS SERVICES CENTER (H4H), AMENDMENT OF THE FY 2024-25 OPERATING BUDGET TO INCREASE REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $261,628 WHEREAS, on July 17, 2017, the City Council approved to award a contract to Volunteers of America Los Angeles (VOALA) to perform as the Site Operator of the Year-Round Emergency Shelter – Hope for Home Homeless Services Center (H4H) – and also approved VOALA as a sole source Subrecipient of future funds identified to operate H4H; and WHEREAS, funding for a Crisis Housing Program to operate at H4H was made available by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) through the Los Angeles County Measure H fund annually for a 100-bed program; and, WHEREAS, the funding renewal was awarded by LAHSA in the amount of $1,828,000 for the term of July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025; and, WHEREAS, VOALA as H4H Site Operator, shall receive an allocation of $1,718,320 of the funds awarded by LAHSA to operate the Crisis Housing Program at H4H.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. Authorize the acceptance of $1,828,000 in the Los Angeles County Measure H fund for the operation of the Crisis Housing Program at H4H.
SECTION 2. Amend FY 2024-25 Operating Budget by increasing revenue estimates and appropriations per chart below:

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
