A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING GRANT OF EASEMENT EC2-2023 TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON FOR ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE INSTALLATION ON A PORTION OF CITY PROPERTY LOCATED AT 499 E ARROW HIGHWAY (PALOMARES PARK), POMONA, CA, ASSESSOR PARCEL NUMBER 8366-017-900 WHEREAS, Spectrum Land Services, applicant acting on behalf of Southern California Edison (SCE), submitted a grant of easement application to the City of Pomona Public Works-Engineering Division (City) for the installation of the electrical infrastructure required to support 19 Electrical Vehicle chargers on a small portion of City property located at 499 E Arrow Highway, and associated with Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 83366-017-900; and WHEREAS, the Planning Division has reviewed the completed application for the proposed grant of easement and found it to be in compliance with the City’s General Plan, the Zoning Ordinance, and the California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15061 of the Guidelines for the implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act. Section 15061 refers to activities covered by the general rule that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment; and WHEREAS, the City has determined that the required easement is necessary to accommodate the proposed electrical infrastructure installation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds, based on the evidence submitted, that the proposed Grant of Easement EC2-2023 over a portion of the City owned property located at 499 E Arrow Highway, APN 8366-017-900, attached hereto as EXHIBIT 1 is hereby approved. The easement legal description and plat map are included as EXHIBIT “A” and EXHIBIT “B”, attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or designee to sign said Grant of Easement to SCE on behalf of the City.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
