RESOLUTION NO. 2024-154
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING FY 2024-25 OPERATING BUDGET TO INCREASE REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $87,000 WHEREAS, the Police Department has been awarded a Child Passenger Safety Grant from the Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) in the amount of $87,000; WHEREAS, the Child Passenger Safety Grant has been awarded to the Pomona Police Department to reduce the number of persons killed and injured in crashes involving children beginning October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025; WHEREAS, the authority to accept the Child Passenger Safety Program Grant and amend the FY 2024-25 Special Operating budget by increasing revenue estimates appropriations in the amount of $87,000 is vested with City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby amends the FY 2024-25 Operating Budget by increasing revenue estimates (215-2014-40873-58800) and appropriation (215-2014-5XXXX-58800) in the amount of $87,000.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager, or designee, is hereby authorized to execute any and all agreements on behalf of the City, in substantially the form submitted, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney.
SECTION 3. That City Clerk shall attest to and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall be effective immediately upon its approval.
