RESOLUTION NO. 2024-178
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, ADMENDING THE FY 2024-25 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $40,000 WHEREAS, the State’s Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Mini Grant has been awarded to the City of Pomona to fund the Police Department’s efforts in addressing alcohol-related problems associated with alcoholic beverage licensed establishments. The performance period for this grant begins October 1, 2024 through August 31st, 2025; and WHEREAS, the total amount of $40,000 awarded to the Police Department will be used to conduct undercover operations, in conjunction with local ABC enforcement officers, on an overtime basis; WHEREAS, the authority to accept an ABC Mini Grant and amend the FY 2024-25 Operating Budget by increasing revenue estimates and appropriations in the amount of $40,000 is vested with the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby amends the FY 2024-25 Operating Budget by increasing revenue estimate (215-2090-40873-58801) and appropriations (215-2090-5XXXX-58801) in the amount of $40,000.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager, or designee, is hereby authorized to enter into the Grant Agreement on behalf of the City.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall be effective immediately upon its approval.
