RESOLUTION NO. 2024-149
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, ADMENDING THE FY 2024-25 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $381,591 WHEREAS, The Pomona Police Department was awarded a Tobacco Grant Program from the California Department of Justice (DOJ) in the amount of $381,591; and WHEREAS, this program provides funding to law enforcement agencies to focus on enforcing state laws and local ordinances related to illegal tobacco sales. The performance period for this grant begins November 1, 2024 through June 30, 2028; WHEREAS, the authority to amend the FY 2024-25 Operating Budget by increasing revenue estimates and appropriations in the amount of $381, 591 is vested with the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby amends the FY 2024-25 Operating Budget by increasing revenue estimate (215-2090-40873-58802) and appropriations (215-2090-5XXXX-58802) in the amount of $381,591.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager, or designee, is hereby authorized to enter into the Grant Agreement on behalf of the City.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall be effective immediately upon its approval.
