DISCUSSION:

The City of Pomona received funding from the County of Los Angeles Executive Office Board of Supervisors (Hilda Solis) to remodel the children’s tutoring/story time room at the Pomona Public Library. This room is one of the most utilized rooms in the library for children’s tutoring and homework time. It is also used to host a series of events such as movie time with family, health and mental health workshops, story time, magic shows, and much more. The funds will be used to remove a wall that currently bisects the children’s room that will help create a more open, accessible, and inviting floor plan. In addition, the funds will be used to repaint the room, and purchase a projector and screen, computer desks, laptop/computers, chairs, shelves, and decorations.
