RESOLUTION NO. 2025-26
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF ONE (1) POLICE CANINE (K9) IN AN IN-KIND AMOUNT OF $11,319.75 FROM FRIENDS OF POMONA POLICE K-9 FOUNDATION WHEREAS, The Pomona Police Department’s Canine (K9) Program is funded through the Police Departments General Fund. Majority of all canines in the program have been donations from the community, the success of the program is only possible through their generosity and support; and WHEREAS, the Pomona Police Department will receive a new canine donation in an in-kind amount of $11,319.75 from Friends of Pomona Police K9 Foundation; WHEREAS, the authority to accept the donated canine in an in-kind amount of $11,319.75 from Friends of Pomona Police K9 Foundation is vested with the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City council hereby accepts the in-kind donation of (1) one police canine valued at $11,319.75 from Friends of Pomona Police K9 Foundation to help expand the Pomona Police Department’s K9 program.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
