RESOLUTION NO. 2025-32
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 OPERATING BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $36,982 FROM REFUSE ADMINISTRATION FUND RESERVES (FUND 145) TO CONTROLLABLE CONTRACTS (145-2520-52285-00000) FOR STREET SWEEPING SIGNS WHEREAS, on June 3, 2024, the City Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Operating Budget; and WHEREAS, the City’s exclusive franchise agreement with Athens Services provides for solid waste and street sweeping services; and WHEREAS, under the terms of its contract, Athens Services provided $800,000 to the City to fund the purchase of signs, posts, and materials for street sweeping, with the goal of properly posting all streets in the City with the designated street sweeping day and time; and WHEREAS, the Pomona City Charter requires that amendments to the Adopted FY 2024-25 Operating Budget be approved by City Council by Resolution; and WHEREAS, as allowed by the City’s Charter, the recommended actions will authorize the appropriation of the remaining balance of $36,982 from the original $800,000 Athens contribution from the Refuse Administration Fund Balance to allow for the purchase and installation of additional new Citywide street sweeping signs; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. City Council hereby amends the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Operating Budget by appropriating $36,982 from Refuse Administration Fund Reserves (Fund 145) for the purchase of additional street sweeping signs, posts, and materials.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
