RESOLUTION NO. 2025-57
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2025-2026 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN WITH PROPOSED FUNDING FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG), HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS (HOME) AND EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT (ESG) PROGRAMS WHEREAS, the City of Pomona, pursuant to Federal regulations, has prepared, circulated and solicited public input and conducted a public hearing within the City of Pomona, located in the United States, on the FY 2025-2026 Annual Action Plan with proposed funding; WHEREAS, the City of Pomona, after due consideration and review, has complied with the necessary Federal, State and local regulations and requirements; and WHEREAS, the approvals herein are preliminary for inclusion in the Draft Annual Action Plan; final approvals will be adopted at the conclusion of the 30-day public comment period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Pomona, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council approves the estimated recommended funding amounts for projects funded under the Federal Entitlement Programs of CDBG and ESG, as indicated in Exhibits A and B.
SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby authorizes adding the estimated recommended funding amounts, reflected in Exhibits A and B, to the Draft Annual Action Plan to be submitted to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for FY 2025-2026 for the Federal Entitlement Programs.
SECTION 3. That the City Council hereby approves the inclusion of funding recommendations under the following Federal Entitlement Programs and of the Home Investment Partnership (HOME) Program in the amount of $723,880 into the Draft Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan and appropriation of the same in the FY 2025-2026 City Operating Budget.
SECTION 4. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager, or their designee, to execute all documents related to the FY 2025-2026 CDBG, HOME, and ESG Entitlement Programs.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage of this resolution, and it shall thereupon take effect and be in full force.
