The WRD maintains hundreds of miles of water, sewer, and stormwater pipelines, along with other infrastructure. Through the course of normal maintenance operations, asphalt, sidewalks and curbs are removed to access underground utility infrastructure. In these instances, staff installs temporary patches to return them to service. At this juncture, the WRD proposes to hire a pavement contractor to complete permanent repairs of the pavement and sidewalks.
On February 24, 2025, an Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 2025-1006 – “Utility Pavement & Sidewalk Repair” was issued on the City’s electronic bidding platform. The solicitation notified 1315 potential proposers, of which 44 potential proposers downloaded the IFB, resulting in the City receiving five (5) bids. Based on the bid received (Table 2) staff is recommending entering into a contract with G.M. Sager Construction Company, Inc. to complete the necessary paving work.
