RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - 136
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2025-26 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES BY $11,442,627 AND DECREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $11,329,022 AND AUTHORIZING CHANGES TO THE CITYS AUTHORIZED STAFFING LEVELS WHEREAS, a fiscal review is a prudent method to ensure that the City maintains a healthy financial structure.
WHEREAS, the City routinely adjusts fiscal year appropriations and revenue estimates throughout the fiscal year.
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the FY 2024-2025 Operating Budget, Housing Authority Budget, and the Five-Year Capital Improvement Program on June 2, 2025 and all appropriations for departments or major organizational units within the General Fund and all operating funds were approved; WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the operating and capital improvement program budgets of the City of Pomona for fiscal year 2025-26 on June 2, 2025 and all authorized staffing levels for departments or major organizational units within all operating funds and capital improvements programs were approved.
WHEREAS, the City Council approved amendments to the fiscal year 2025-26 General Fund Operating budget on September 8, 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Fiscal Year 2025-26 1st Quarter General Fund Fiscal Review has hereby been received and reviewed by the City Council.
SECTION 2. That the City Council amends the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 City operating budget to reflect additional appropriations and revised revenue estimates for the purpose of accurately reflecting revenues/appropriations as follows:
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby amends the authorized staffing by approving the reclassification/restructure/title change of one Economic Development Director to Deputy Director of Economic and Business Affairs (Administration), delete one Deputy Police Chief, and add one Police Captain (Police).
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, and it shall thereupon be in full force and effect.
