A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA TO AMEND THE FY 2025-26 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $38,034 OF AVAILABLE CIP CARRYOVER DISCRETIONARY FUNDS FROM DISTRICTS 1, 2, 6 AND MAYORAL TO “PARK RESTROOM CONSTRUCTION AND REPLACEMENT,” PROJECT NO. 428-2590-XXXXX-71079, $10,000 OF AVAILABLE DISTRICT 2 CIP CARRYOVERY DISCRETIONARY FUNDS TO “MARTIN LUTHER KING JR., SKATE PARK EXPANSION/LIGHTS,” PROJECT NO. 428-2590-XXXXX-71092, AND UPDATING THE DESCRIPTION OF AND APPROPRIATING $5,105 OF DISTRICT 3 CIP CARRYOVER DISCRETIONARY FUNDS TO “ENHANCED TRAFFIC SIGNANGE REPLACEMENT PROGRAM, CITYWIDE,” PROJECT NO. 428-2590-XXXXX-68588, AND APPROPRIATING $93 OF DISTRICT 4 CIP CARRYOVER DISCRETIONARY FUNDS TO “GARFIELD PARK RENOVATION,” PROJECT NO. 428-2590-XXXXX-71111.
WHEREAS, the “Park Restroom Construction and Replacement,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71079, needs additional funding to construct all the restrooms in the construction contract; WHEREAS, the “Martin Luther King Jr., Skate Park Expansion/Lights,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71092, needs additional funding to complete the project; and WHEREAS, the “Enhanced Traffic Signage Replacement Program – Citywide,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-68588 needs funding to provide for enhanced signage at the intersection of Towne Avenue and Grand Avenue; and WHEREAS, the “Garfield Park Renovation,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-68588 needs funding to provide for the renovation of Garfield Park; and WHEREAS, the City desires to amend the FY 2025-26 CIP Budget by appropriating $38,034 of available CIP Carryover Discretionary funds from Districts 1,2,6 and Mayoral to “Park Restroom Construction and Replacement,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71079, $10,000 of available District 2 CIP Carryover Discretionary funding to “Martin Luther King Jr., Skate Park Expansion/Lights,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71092, $5,105 of available District 3 CIP Carryover Discretionary funding to “Enhanced Traffic Signage Replacement Program – Citywide,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-68588, and $93 of District 4 CIP Carryover Discretionary Funding to “Garfield Park Renovation,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71111.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council amends the FY 2025-26 CIP Budget by appropriating $10,360 from District 1 CIP Carryover Discretionary funds (418-1302-89987-72101, 428-2590-80721-71079 and 428-2590-66196-71079) to “Park Restroom and Construction Replacement,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71079.
SECTION 2. The City Council amends the FY 2025-26 CIP Budget by appropriating $27,022 from District 2 CIP Carryover Discretionary funds (418-1302-89987-72102, 428-2590-80721-71079 and 428-2590-66196-71079) to “Park Restroom and Construction Replacement,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71079.
SECTION 3. The City Council amends the FY 2025-26 CIP Budget by appropriating $1 from District 6 CIP Carryover Discretionary funds (418-1302-89987-72106, 428-2590-80721-71079 and 428-2590-66196-71079) to “Park Restroom and Construction Replacement,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71079.
SECTION 4. The City Council amends the FY 2025-26 CIP Budget by appropriating $651 from Mayoral CIP Carryover Discretionary funds (418-1302-89987-72107, 428-2590-80721-71079 and 428-2590-66196-71079) to “Park Restroom and Construction Replacement,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71079.
SECTION 5. The City Council amends the FY 2025-26 CIP Budget by appropriating $10,000 from District 2 CIP Carryover Discretionary funds (418-1302-89987-72102, 428-2590-80721-71092 and 428-2590-66196-71092) to “Martin Luther King Jr., Skate Park Expansion/Lights,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71092.
SECTION 6. The City Council amends the FY 2025-26 CIP Budget by updating the description of “Enhanced Traffic Signage Replacement Program – Citywide,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-68588 as depicted in Attachment No. 2 and appropriating $5,105 from District 3 CIP Carryover Discretionary funds (418-1302-89987-72103, 428-2590-80721-68588 and 428-2590-66196-68588) to “Enhanced Traffic Signage Replacement Program – Citywide,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-68588.
SECTION 7. The City Council amends the FY 2025-26 CIP Budget by appropriating $93 from District 4 CIP Carryover Discretionary funds (418-1302-89987-72104, 428-2590-80721-71111 and 428-2590-66196-71111) to “Garfield Park Renovation,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71111.
SECTION 8. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
