RESOLUTION NO. 2025-158
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2025-26 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $780,440 IN FUND 215 FOR TREE PLANTING AS PART OF THE TRANSFORMATIVE CLIMATE COMMUNITIES GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City of Pomona has been awarded a $22.125 million dollar grant by the State of California Strategic Growth Council for the Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) Program; and WHEREAS, one project component of the grant is to plant up to 1,000 street trees within the project area and provide for maintenance to support the establishment of the trees; and WHEREAS, the authority to amend the FY 2025-26 Operating budget in the amount of $780,440 for the tree planting component of the larger project and accept grant funding award is vested with the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby amends the FY 2025-26 Operating Budget by increasing revenue estimates (215-XXXX-40873-58827) and a corresponding appropriations (215-4021-52285-58827) in the amount of $780,440.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
