SUBJECT: RECEIVE AND FILE THE POLICE OVERSIGHT COMMISSION ANNUAL REPORT ______________________________________________________________________________ RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council receive and file the Police Oversight Commission Annual Report.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Ordinance No. 4333, Section 2-655 (i) (“Duties and Responsibilities”) directed the Police Oversight Commission to “prepare and submit an annual report to the City Council on Commission activities and recommendations.” DISCUSSION:
The Police Oversight Commission (“Commission”), established by Ordinance No. 4333, began its regular monthly meetings in November 2023. At the November 2025 meeting, the Commission voted to create the Annual Report ad-hoc committee tasked with preparing the required Annual Report and assigned Chair Eunice Russell and Commissioner Armando Yanez to the ad-hoc committee. They prepared the Annual Report to be presented to the City Council.
