Notice of Public Hearing
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA APPROVING FINDINGS UNDER GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 4217.10-4217.18 FOR A
SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC (PV) AND BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE
SYSTEM (BESS) FOR THE PALOMARES PARK SENIOR CENTER AND
APPROVE ENTERING INTO AN ENERGY SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
PARTICIPATE ENERGY.
The City of Pomona shall hold a public hearing on Monday, March 16, 2026 at its regularly scheduled City Council meeting for the purposes of presenting certain findings, taking public comment, and approving a Resolution adopting the findings and approving an Energy Services Contract with Participate Energy for the implementation of certain energy-related improvements to the Palomares Park Senior Center in accordance with California Government Code Section 4217.10 to 4217.18.
The City Council's findings shall provide and Energy Services Contract shall require that the cost to the City of Pomona to implement the energy-related improvements will be less than the anticipated marginal cost to the City of Pomona of thermal, electrical, or other energy that would have been consumed by the City of Pomona in absent of purchasing the energy improvements.
Please Note: This public hearing and decision is not to approve the actual construction or permitting of the PV and BESS system, but to approve findings for expedited procurement and contracting under State codes. If approved, the project is still subject to all applicable laws and regulations for permitting such facilities.
