A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, TO AMEND THE FY 2025-26 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) BUDGET BY CREATING A NEW CIP PROJECT, “GAREY AVENUE AND FREEWAY RAMPS SIGNAL COORDINATION”, FD428 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) | CC2590 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) | WORKTAG: PRJ-00003 AND REAPPROPRIATING $85,000 OF SCAQMD SUBVENTION (AB2766) FUNDS FROM “TRAFFIC OPERATIONS – COMMUNICATION UPGRADES II,” FD428 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) | CC2590 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) | WORKTAG: PROJECT 68581 TO NEWLY CREATED PROJECT WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to amend the FY 2025-26 CIP Budget by creating “Garey Avenue and Freeway Ramps Signal Coordination”, FD428 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) | CC2590 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) | Worktag: PRJ-00003; WHEREAS, the City Council desires to reappropriate $85,000 of SCAQMD Subvention (AB2766) funds from “Traffic Operations – Communication Upgrades II,” FD428 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) | CC2590 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) | Worktag: Project 68581 to “Garey Avenue and Freeway Ramps Signal Coordination,” FD428 CIP | CC2590 CIP | Worktag: PRJ-00003; and WHEREAS, amendments to the adopted CIP budget, including amendments to the CIP and CIP appropriations, require approval by City Council Resolution NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council amends the FY 2025-26 CIP Budget by creating “Garey Avenue and Freeway Ramps Signal Coordination”, FD428 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) | CC2590 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) | Worktag: PRJ-00003, which shall include the following description:
“This project will provide traffic signal coordination timing surrounding the 10-freeway ramps to improve traffic flow, including new traffic signal timings for the newly installed signal at 10EB off-ramp/Garey Avenue and updated signal timings for 10WB on-ramp/Garey Avenue.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby reappropriates $85,000 of SCAQMD Subvention (AB2766) funds (FD245 CC2590) from “Traffic Operations – Communication Upgrades II,” FD428 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) | CC2590 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) | Worktag: Project 68581 to “Garey Avenue and Freeway Ramps Signal Coordination,” FD428 CIP | CC2590 CIP | Worktag: PRJ-00003.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
