RESOLUTION NO. 2026-53
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, SITTING AS THE GOVERNING BOARD FOR THE POMONA HOUSING AUTHORITY (PHA) AMENDING THE FY 2025-26 OPERATING BUDGET TO INCREASE REVENUE ESTIMATES BY $1,882,540 AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $844,805 FROM U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) FUNDS WHEREAS, the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program is the Federal government’s primary initiative for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities in securing decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market, WHEREAS, the Mainstream (MS) Program allocates funding to housing agencies to support non-elderly individuals with disabilities who are transitioning from institutional or segregated settings, those at serious risk of institutionalization, and individuals who are homeless, or at-risk of becoming homeless, WHEREAS, the Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHVs) assist individuals and families who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking or human trafficking, recently homeless and for whom providing rental assistance will prevent the family’s homelessness or having high risk of housing instability, WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to amend the FY 2025-26 Adopted Operating Budget for HCV, MS and EHV Programs, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council sitting as the Governing Board of the PHA as follows:
SECTION 1. Increasing revenue estimates and appropriating funding to the following accounts:
SECTION 2. The Authority Secretary shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
