A PROCLAMATION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PROCLAIMING JUNE 2026 AS “GO SKATEBOARDING MONTH” IN THE CITY OF POMONA WHEREAS, skateboarding is a vibrant and inclusive activity that promotes creativity, physical fitness, and community engagement among people of all ages; and WHEREAS, Go Skateboarding Month, celebrated annually in the month of June serves as a platform to recognize the culture and impact of skateboarding worldwide; and WHEREAS, skateboarding fosters a sense of camaraderie, resilience, and self-expression, while encouraging individuals to overcome challenges and pursue their passions; and WHEREAS, the City of Pomona recognizes the importance of providing safe and accessible spaces for skateboarders to practice their craft and build connections within our community; and WHEREAS, on Go Skateboarding Month, we celebrate the spirit of skateboarding and honor the contributions of skateboarders to our City's cultural fabric.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA does hereby proclaim June 2026 as “GO SKATEBOARDING MONTH”
