RESOLUTION NO. 2026-86
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2026-27 OPERATING BUDGET BY ACCEPTING REVENUE, INCREASING BUDGET ESTIMATES BY $7,935 AND ALLOCATING $10,000 IN EXPENSES WHEREAS, the Paddles for Palomares Pickleball Tournament was organized to generate revenue and donations to be allocated towards repairing and/or replacing the sport court lighting at the Palomares Park Pickleball Courts; and WHEREAS, the total estimated budget for pickleball court light pole repairs is $10,000; and WHEREAS, the Paddles for Palomares tournament, which took place on March 14-15, generated $35 in donations, $80 in concessions and $1,950 in registration fees, for a total of $2,065, to the FY 2025-26 Operating Budget.
WHEREAS, Staff will organize another Paddles for Palomares tournament event for FY 2026-27 in an effort to raise $7,935 to meet the estimated budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council amends the FY 2026-27 Operating Budget by accepting revenue and increasing budget estimates by $7,935 [FD101│CC4201│45000:Other Revenues - Misc. Revenue].
SECTION 2. The City Council amends the FY 2026-27 Operating Budget by appropriating $10,000 to Special Programs within the Community Services Administration Department budget. [FD101│CC4201│52000:Controllable Expenses-Special Programs].
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
