RESOLUTION NO. 2026-89
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, Amending the FISCAL YEAR 2026-27 operating budget by DECREASING Appropriations BY $3,721,607 AND DECREASING REVENUE ESTIAMTES BY $8,263,800 AND AUTHORIZING CHANGES TO THE CITY’S AUTHORIZED STAFFING LEVEL WHEREAS, a fiscal review is a prudent method to ensure that the City maintains a healthy financial structure.
WHEREAS, the City routinely adjusts fiscal year appropriations and revenue estimates throughout the fiscal year.
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-27 Operating Budget, Housing Authority Budget, and the Five-Year Capital Improvement Program on May 26, 2026 and all appropriations for departments or major organizational units within the General Fund and all operating funds were approved; WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the operating and capital improvement program budgets of the City of Pomona for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-27 on May 26, 2026 and all authorized staffing levels for departments or major organizational units within all operating funds and capital improvements programs were approved.
WHEREAS, the voters of the City of Pomona on June 2, 2026 approved Ballot Measure Z which approves the transfer of 10% of the Bradley Burns sales tax revenues to the Children and Youth Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Fiscal Year 2026-27 budget requires revisions related to actions that have occurred since the adoption of the FY 2026-27 Adopted Budget on May 26, 2026 and these proposed changes are hereby received and reviewed by the City Council.
SECTION 2. That the City Council amends the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 City operating budget to reflect additional appropriations and revised revenue estimates for the purpose of accurately reflecting revenues/appropriations as follows:
SECTION 3. The City Council authorizes the following reclassifications to the authorized staffing levels:
