RESOLUTION NO. 2026-102
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2026-27 OPERATING BUDGET TO INCREASE REVENUE ESTIMTES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,000 OF DONATED FUNDING FROM WALMART FOR THE HEROES OF POMONA SPEECH CONTEST WHEREAS, the Heroes of Pomona Speech Contest was designed to provide youth participants with meaningful opportunities to develop valuable communication and public speaking skills; and WHEREAS, a donated award in the amount of $4,000 was received and appropriated to provide cash scholarship prizes to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners of the Heroes of Pomona Speech Contest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council amends the FY 2026-27 Operating Budget by accepting revenue and increasing budget estimates by $4,000 [FD101- General Fund - CC4112 After School – 45000 Other Revenues: Donations].
SECTION 2. The City Council amends the FY 2026-27 Operating Budget by appropriating $4,000 to Activity Program Supplies within the Community Services Administration Department budget. [FD101 General Fund - CC4112- After School – 52000 Controllable Expenses: Special Programs] SECTION 3 The City Clerk shall attest and certify the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
