A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, TO AMEND THE FY 2026-27 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $709,800 OF CALTRANS RIGHT OF WAY ACQUISITION SALE PROCEEDS TO “VETERANS PARK REHABILITATION” FD428 CIP PROJECT FUND | CC2590 CIP | RC243 PROCEEDS FROM SALE OF AN ASSET | CIP PROJECT PRJ-00017 (AS DEPICTED IN EXHIBIT A) WHEREAS, the City Council is prescribed the authority, by Charter of the City of Pomona, to approve amendments to the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget; WHEREAS, the City Council desires to use the sales proceeds from Caltrans acquisition of Right of Ways at Veterans Park and vacant freeway-oriented city-owned land towards the rehabilitation of Veteran’s Park; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council amends the FY 2026-27 CIP Budget by increasing revenue estimates and appropriating $709,800 of Caltrans Right of Way Acquisition Sale Proceeds to partially fund the currently unfunded CIP Project, “Veterans Park Rehabilitation,” FD428 CIP Project Fund | CC2590 CIP | RC243 Proceeds from Sale of an Asset | CIP Project PRJ-00017 (As Depicted in Exhibit A).
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
