RESOLUTION NO. 2026-118
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING FY 2026-27 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $98,343 WHEREAS, the Police Department has been awarded an Alcoholic Beverage Control Grant from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control in the amount of $98,343; WHEREAS, the Alcoholic Beverage Control Grant has been awarded to fund the Pomona Police Department’s efforts to enforce, educate, and partner with the community where alcohol-related violations and public safety are of concern. The grant period begins July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027; WHEREAS, the authority to accept the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control Grant and amend FY 2026-27 Operating budget by increasing revenue estimates and appropriations is vested with City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby amends the FY 2026-27 Operating Budget by increasing revenue estimates FD215 – CC2090 – 4300 Intergovernmental – Grant-State – GR00093 and appropriations FD215 – CC2090 – 51000 Staffing – Overtime Police Sworn – GR00093 in the amount of $96,343, and FD215 – CC2090 – 52000 Controllable Expenses – Training and Professional Development – GR00093 in the amount of $2,500.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager, or designee, is hereby authorized to execute any and all agreements on behalf of the City, in substantially the form submitted, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney.
SECTION 3. That City Clerk shall attest to and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall be effective immediately upon its approval.
