RESOLUTION NO. 2026-127
A Resolution OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, california, TO AFFIRM SALARY AND BENEFITS FOR KARLA SHIPMAN AS CITY CLERK WHEREAS, The Pomona City Charter, section 702 establishes the office of City Clerk and provides that the City Clerk shall be appointed by a majority vote of the City Council; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 702 of the Pomona City Charter, the City Council appointed Karla Shipman as the City Clerk effective September 21, 2026; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk serves at the pleasure of the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk is an appointed Officer of the City and the City Council desires to provide salary and benefits as identified in the City’s current salary schedule and Compensation Plan for Executive Management Group A and B Employees of the City of Pomona; and WHEREAS, effective September 21, 2026, Karla Shipman’s salary shall be $144,000 and effective October 1, 2026 shall be $151,200.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby affirms that Karla Shipman shall receive a salary as follows: effective September 21, 2026, $144,000 and effective October 1, 2026, $151,200 annually and shall receive benefits as identified in the Compensation Plan for Executive Management Group A and B Employees.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to take administrative actions as may be necessary to implement this Resolution.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
