CALL TO ORDER
Mayor McQueen-Legohn called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Councilmembers Steven A. Gama, Laura D. Hernandez, Misty Perez; Mayor Pro Tern Jess Lopez; Mayor Martha R. McQueen-Legohn.
Absent: None.
PUBLIC COMMENT - None.

Mayor McQueen-Legohn reconvened the open session at 6:18 p.m.

City Attorney Paul Early provided the closed session report indicating no reportable action.

BUSINESS ITEMS
1. APPROVAL OF APPROPRIATION FOR INCREASED SOLID WASTE REFUSE
DISPOSAL COSTS
Recommendation: Approve an appropriation of $350,000 from the Solid Waste Operations Fund to cover costs for refuse disposal through the end of the fiscal year.
City Manager James Vega provided a brief overview. Public Works Director Fred Camarillo presented the report. Questions followed. There were no public comments.
A motion was made by Councilmember Perez, seconded by Councilmember Lopez, to approve an appropriation of $350,000 from the Solid Waste Operations Fund to cover costs for refuse disposal through the end of the fiscal year.
Motion passed 5-0, as follows:
AYES: Gama, Lopez, Perez, Hernandez, McQueen-Legohn
NOES: None; ABSTAIN: None; ABSENT: None
ADJOURNMENT
The City Council adjourned at 6:33 p.m. to its next regular meeting scheduled for Monday, July 20, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
