We urge all members of the Town Council to approve the Draft Housing Element and send it to the state well before your proposed May discussion date We are very concerned the Town's failure to submit a compliant HE very soon will lead to loss of Town control over building, including the very real risk of applicants using the Builders Remedy.
We are grateful for all the time, care, and consideration of different interests that went into developing the current HE and believe it represents the best compromise available. We think it is most unfortunate that the failure to approve the plan on March 29th, centered on Glen Oaks.. The Glen Oaks site had already been given ample investigation when it was included in the HE, with the thought that adding affiliated employee housing would not necessarily preclude continued operation of the equestrian business. which this discussion took place. It seems to us that the continued study of Glen Oaks is an unnecessary reinvention of the wheel, and creates untenable delay.
