PORTOLA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES – MAY 9, 2023
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Aalfs called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m.
Present:: Councilmembers Judith Hasko, Mary Hufty and Craig Taylor, Vice Mayor Sarah Wernikoff and Mayor Jeff Aalfs
Absent: None
2. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
None.
3. CLOSED SESSION
Mayor Aalfs adjourned to a Closed Session to discuss the following:
a. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL – ANTICIPATED LITIGATION Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to paragraph (2) of subdivision (d) of California Government Code Section 54956.9: PublicSafety4PVNow, Inc., a Delaware corporation
Govt. Code § 54956.9(d)(2): “[a] point has been reached where, in the opinion of the legislative body of the local agency on the advice of its legal counsel, based on existing facts and circumstances, there is a significant exposure to litigation against the local agency.”
b. PUBLIC EMPLOYEE –Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957 Title: Town Attorney
4. ADJOURNMENT
