PORTOLA VALLEY TOWN COUNCILSPECIAL MEETING MINUTES – FEBRUARY 5, 2024
1. CALL TO ORDER / ROLL CALL
Mayor Wernikoff called the Special Meeting to order at 2:18 p.m. Roll call was taken.
Present: Councilmembers Jeff Aalfs, Mary Hufty, Craig Taylor Vice Mayor Judith Hasko and Mayor Sarah Wernikoff
Absent: None
Others: Interim Planning and Building Director Jon Biggs and Assistant Town Manager Corie Stocker
2. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
None.
3. COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
a. Conduct Interview Sessions and Appoint Commission Members to the Planning Commission and Architectural and Site Control Commission:
• Two volunteers to serve on the Town’s Planning Commission, for terms expiring December 2027. The Council interviewed the following residents: Ed McGavin, Nicholas Targ, Lynda Brothers and Carter Warr.
• Three volunteers to serve on the Town’s Architectural and Site Control Commission (ASCC), for one term expiring December 2024 and two terms expiring December 2027. The Council interviewed the following residents: Carter Warr, Gina Dixon and Rebecca Flynn.
Councilmembers deliberated over the candidates and their qualifications.
Councilmember Taylor made a motion to appoint Nicholas Targ and Lynda Brothers to the Planning Commission, to four-year terms ending December 2027, seconded by Councilmember Hufty. The motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
Councilmember Tayor made a motion to appoint Gina Dixon to the term expiring December 2024 seconded by Vice Mayor Hasko. The motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
Councilmember Aalfs made a motion to appoint Carter Warr and Rebecca Flynn to four-year terms expiring December 2027, seconded by Councilmember Taylor. The motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.

4. ADJOURNMENT
