PORTOLA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES – SEPTEMBER 4, 2024
1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Mayor Wernikoff called the Special Meeting to order at 3:03 p.m. Interim Town Clerk Ramirez called the Roll Call:
Present: Councilmembers Jeff Aalfs, Mary Hufty, Craig Taylor and Vice Mayor Judith Hasko and Mayor Sarah Wernikoff. Mayor Wernikoff attended remotely from Lambert’s Cove Inn, The Woods Room, 90 Manaquayak Road, West Tisbury, MA 02568
Absent: None
Others: Town Manager Sharif Etman, Town Attorney Catherine Engberg, Interim Town Clerk Diego Ramirez
2. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
None.
3. CLOSED SESSION
At 3:05 p.m., Town Attorney Engberg announced the Council would be convening into a Closed Session for the following:
a. PUBLIC EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION (Govt. Code section 54957):
Town Manager Sharif Etman
b. PUBLIC EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT/EXTENSION/SEPARATION (Govt. Code section 54957): Title: Town Manager
c. CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS (Govt. Code section 54957.6). Agency designated representative: Catherine Engberg, Town Attorney.
Title: Town Manager
Mayor Wernikoff reconvened the Special Meeting at 4:38 p.m. and reported no action was taken in Closed Session.
4. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 4:40 p.m.
