PORTOLA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES – MAY 13, 2026
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Taylor called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m. Roll call was taken.
Present: Councilmembers Helen Wolter, Judith Hasko, Rebecca Flynn, Vice Mayor Mary Hufty, Mayor Craig Taylor
Absent: None
Others: Town Manager Darcy Smith, Town Attorney Catherine Engberg, Town Clerk Veronica Dao
2. ANNOUNCEMENT OF REMOTE ATTENDANCE / ROLL CALL

Mayor Taylor invited public comment.

4. COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
a. Conduct Interviews and Appoint Commission Member for the Following:
• One volunteer to serve on the Architectural and Site Control Commission (ASCC) for a term expiring in December 2028
The Council interviewed the following applicants: Ellen Vernazza and Sonia Dhillon. Councilmembers deliberated over the candidate and their qualifications.
Motion and second (Flynn,) to appoint Sonia Dhillon to the Architectural and Site Controle Commission (ASCC) for one term expiring December 2028. The motion passed 3-2 by voice vote, with Councilmember Hasko and Vice Mayor Hufty voting no.
5. ADJOURNMENT
The Council adjourned the meeting at approximately 6:55 p.m. _________________________ _________________________
