Safety Element

It is with great concern that I learn the Town's new draft Safety Element has been composed without referral to Committees with a safety purview.
No opportunity has been permitted to contribute to the Safety Element, nor any chance given to review it ahead of its first public airing. Even a chance t comment was announced late, and informally.
As chair of Traffic safety (BPTS) I can share my committees disbelief and disappointment that there has been no involvement in the process. At the sam time, we are expected to work with Town and County on significant items of safety planning and policy.
