for water storage
• A pump station is required to pump water
to the tanks
• Temporary 24” above-ground piping and
pressure regulating station is required to
move water to and from the tanks
• Permanent 36” below-ground pipeline is
required to move water into the
distribution system

• Construction Contact: $7.3M
• Final Contract Amount: $7.6M
• Change Orders: 4.2%

Poway Treated Water Facilities and Redundant Pipeline Project • Treated water conveyed to the Clearwell
tanks via a new 36” transmission pipeline,
pump station and forebay tank
• The 36” pipeline will also improve
redundancy for Poway’s water distribution
system
