Subject: AB 1207 Hearing Date Set! Time to Get Active Again! To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Dear Colleagues,
With the California Legislature returning from summer recess August 14", we just got word AB 1207 (Irwin) - The Cannabis Candy Child Safety Act -will be heard in the Senate Appropriations (Approps) Committee (CMTE) on Monday, August 21.
It goes without saying the actions we take now could determine the fate of this historic bill. Will you help us keep the pressure on state lawmakers and continue to build on the extraordinary momentum we've already achieved this year?
The Senate Approps CMTE is notoriously difficult to pass, and they don't accept public comment. But there are other effective actions we can take to maximize the bill's chances of moving on to the Senate Floor! Join us in calling and emailing committee members so they know just how mobilized, energized, and active AB 1207's supporters truly are! And if you're active on social media, don't hesitate to engage them there too.
Thankfully, we've got everything you need to do all the above! • Submit an email/letter of support to the Senate Approps CMTE.
