NOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Poway will hold a Public Hearing to consider the following item: Specific Plan Amendment (SPA) 24-0001 is a request for approval of a Resolution amending the South Poway Specific Plan (“SPSP”) to define Battery Storage Facility uses and make such uses conditionally permitted in the SPSP’s Light Industrial land use designation. The proposed Specific Plan amendment is not a “project” subject to California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”). Any specific battery storage facility projects proposed in the Specific Plan area will be required to undergo CEQA review, unless exempt, in connection with obtaining a CUP. The approval of a CUP is a discretionary entitlement that is considered a “project” under CEQA.
