RE: V AR23-0001 and MDRA23-0018
To Whom It May Concern:
We are the property owners on Huntington Court. We are submitting this letter to formally object to the request for a variance of an 18-foot front yard setback instead of the zone requirement of 30-feet at 15157 Huntington Court. Please enter this letter for administrative record before the zoning board and city council public hearing on 2/20/24.
The reasons for our objections are listed below:
• There are only 5 homes on our street
• Our street is small with no sidewalks
• All 5 properties on our street have a minimum setback of 30-feet • The variance will negatively alter the character of the neighborhood • The variance will negatively affect our property values • The variance will negatively affect our quality of life • The variance will block views from adjacent properties • The variance violates local zoning laws
Please also see the attached photos and diagram for a visual of the negative impact the variance will create. As stated, we are a small street with only 5 homes and want to maintain the characteristics and cohesiveness of the neighborhood. Granting this variance will negatively impact all our homes in numerous ways and will be detrimental to our small neighborhood. We ask that you deny this variance request.
