Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Tony posted on Nextdoor that he wants everyone to reach out to all of you and request that the personnel evaluations not be held in a closed door session. I agree with the current city policy that personnel evaluations should not be a public event.
I'm glad that Tony notified us that this meeting was taking place. Please consider my input that both of them are doing an outstanding job. They are both constantly attacked by Tony and his now small following. Both of them continue to keep their heads up high and show up to work every day. They are passionate about their roles and are dedicated to serving our city. They manage and evaluate every situation and treat it within the laws and city policy and do so in a respectful and ethical manner. The fact that Chris had to deal with the stress of filing a harassment complaint with his employer yet continues to exhibit outstanding performance is stellar. Alan continues to deal with all of the ridicules requests and also continues to do so with dignity. We have one of the best run cities in the country and these two hold the majority of the accountability for that.
My vote is to give both of them the highest rating and raise you possibly can. They deserve it!
Thank you.
Don Martin
