Meetings | Regular City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 13325 Civic Center Drive, Poway, CA 92064. The Council Chamber will be open to the public.
Notice of Teleconferencing Location | Section 54953(b) of the California Government Code authorizes members of the City Council to use teleconferencing to attend a meeting, provided the agenda identifies the teleconference location. In accordance with Section 54953(b), the following location is hereby noticed as a teleconference location 500 H Street NW, Washington, DC 20001. As set forth below, members of the public may attend the meeting in person in City Council Chambers or at the teleconference location.

Public Meeting Access | Members of the public may attend the City Council meeting in person, or watch the City Council meeting live online. Regular City Council meetings are broadcast live on Cox Communication Channel 24 and Spectrum Channel 19. Council meeting videos are archived and available for viewing on the City’s website.
Speakers | Persons wishing to address the Council on matters not on the agenda may do so under Public Comment. Those wishing to speak on items on the agenda may do so when the item is being considered. Please submit a Speaker's Slip to the City Clerk prior to the meeting or the announcement of the item. All comments will be limited to three (3) minutes. Per the Poway Municipal Code, the speaking time may be reduced.

12. Resolution to Adopt a City Council Policy Requiring all City Council Vacancies Occurring Within the First 18 Months of a Four Year Term to be Filled by Special Election
City Manager’s Recommendation: It is recommended the City Council approve the attached Resolution adopting a City Council policy that all vacancies in the City Council occurring within the first 18 months of any City Councilmember’s four year term must be filled by a special election, and not by appointment.
