It is recommended the City Council:

Discussion:
The scope of work for the Chiller Replacement project involved removal of the existing 17-year-old air- cooled chiller, located in the parking lot behind the Council Chambers and installation of a new unit.
The former system had reached the end of its useful life and was operating at limited capacity after the failure of one of its two compressors. Due to the high cost and extended lead time for replacement parts, full system replacement was determined to be the most cost-effective solution.
The new chiller was successfully installed and placed into service. The upgraded system improves energy efficiency, reduces maintenance requirements and restores full cooling capacity to both City Ha ll and the Council Chambers. Construction was completed within the scheduled timeframe with no 1 of2
