Dear City Council and fellow Poway Citizens:

Its come to my attention that the City Council is set to approve in excess of $300,000.00 to recall a sitting member of the City Council. While he is not always voting in line with the Mayor or the rest of city Council, that alone is insufficient reason to spend this rather inordinate amount from a city Budget to expel a City Councilman.

We live in a Democracy. In a Democracy, there is freedom of speech. Not all City Council members will vote in unison. There is always going to be a dissenting vote.

That's the nature of Democracy. To spend $300,000 just to remove a member who doesn't appeal to their "sensibilities' is just irresponsible and a gross abrogation of fiduciary responsibility. If he is so vilified, lets wait till the Nov 2026 election to pursue his recall. Clearly he will be outvoted in the City Council for the remainder of his tenure. So I ask, again, why are we doing this? Please be more responsible with our Taxpayers money.
