Dear Honorable Mayor Vaus and City Council,
I am quite pleased to see the Funding Acceptance and Award of Contracts for Hazardous Tree Removal Services Update on tonight's city council agenda.
Work for this grant began over four years ago, and I am grateful for our previous city council members encouragement to the city to apply for this grant and the hard work of our city staff who diligently worked to see this grant application process through to being awarded.
I encourage Powegians to refer to the city's Hazardous Tree Removal Mitigation Grant I Poway, CA -Official Website to see the scope of work that will be done through this grant.
Similar to updates the city gives for street paving, it would be helpful for the city to give updates on the location of any tree work that will impact traffic with lane closures. This is especially helpful for any families dropping off or picking up their children at schools in any of the impacted traffic areas.
Thank you for the hard work to make Poway a safer city for all its residents.
