SUBJECT: Item 8 -Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-2027 Community Development Block Grant Program
On October 16, 2025, City staff was notified by the County of San Diego that they will no longer be able to approve the ADA Barrier Removal Assessment and Transition Plan because they have reached their funding cap for planning activities for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-2027. As a result, Staff is proposing to replace item 4 in the agenda report with a new project as described below.

4. ADA ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENTS AT THE PCPA $146,315.14 In FY 2026-2027 funds will be used to perform ADA accessibility improvements at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts (PCPA). This project will include installing handrails for ramps and stairs to meet ADA requirements. Completion of this proposed work will assist in making Poway's public facilities ADA compliant and more accessible for all members of the community.

Staff is recommending funding a not-to-exceed allocation of $146,315.14 for FY 2026-2027.

The updated version of the Resolution that will be considered by the City Council is attached hereto as Attachment A.
