Recommended Action:

It is recommended the City Council award the Agreement for Monitoring and Service of Fire and Security Alarm Systems, RFP No. 26-004, to Progressive Technology Security Systems, Inc. and authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary documents.

Discussion:

Monitoring and Service of Fire and Security Alarm Systems are a critical component of public safety and infrastructure resilience within the City. These systems serve as the first line of defense in detecting fire hazards, unauthorized access, and other emergency events that may pose a threat to life, property, and the continuity of City operations.

Regular monitoring ensures immediate alerts and rapid response in the event of an emergency, significantly reducing the risk of injury, loss of life, or damage to City-owned facilities and assets.

A notice inviting proposals for Monitoring and Service of Fire and Security Alarm Systems was advertised on July 31 and August 7, 2025. Two (2) proposals were received and opened on September 4, 2025. Staff reviewed the proposals submitted and determined Progressive Technology to be 1 of 25
