Thank you for participating in your local government and the City of Poway Council meetings.
Meetings I Regular City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 13325 Civic Center Drive, Poway, CA 92064. The Council Chamber will be open to the public.
Public Meeting Access I Members of the public may attend the City Council meeting in person, or watch the City Council meeting live online. Regular City Council meetings are broadcast live on Cox Communication Channel 24 and Spectrum Channel 19. Council meeting videos are archived and available for viewing on the City's website.
Speakers I Persons wishing to address the Council on matters not on the agenda may do so under Public Comment. Those wishing to speak on items on the agenda may do so when the item is being considered. Please submit a Speaker's Slip to the City Clerk prior to the meeting or the announcement of the item. All comments will be limited to three (3) minutes. Per the Poway Municipal Code, the speaking time may be reduced.

PLEASE NOTE: Written comments received via email before 3:00 p.m. the day prior to the meeting will be distributed as formal additional material as well as be made available online prior to the City Council meeting. Written comments received after this deadline will be forwarded to the Council, but not available online until after the City Council meeting.

PUBLIC HEARINGS:
8. Development Review 25-0001 and Tentative Tract Map 25-0001, a Request for an Additional West Village Multi-Family Building and Private Dog Park (Fairfield II) within the Town Center Land Use District of the Poway Road Corridor Specific Plan located at 12947 Poway Road, (APN 317-490-68- 00)
City Manager's Recommendation: It is recommended the City Council conduct a public hearing, find and determine the Project is consistent with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Class 32 Categorical Exemption environmental determination made for this Project and adopt the attached Resolution approving DR 25-0001 and TTM 25-0001 .

Discussion and Possible Action to Fill City Council Vacancy City Manager's Recommendation: It is recommended the City Council provide direction to City staff on the timing of bringing back a resolution to call a special election to fill the vacant District 2 City Council seat. Based on the significant cost savings, staff recommends that the City Council direct staff to schedule a special City Council meeting and bring back a resolution calling the special election for the June 2, 2026 statewide primary.
