Discussion:
The FY 2024-25 ADA Barrier Removal -Buckley Street Phase I project is fully funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The County of San Diego manages the program and allocates funds to the City. As a requirement of this grant, the City allocates and expends funds for the approved project, which are then submitted to the County for reimbursement. The General Fund (F1000) provides temporary loans to the CDBG Fund as applicable in the interim to pay for the project.
This project consisted of ADA upgrades at the Buckley Street entrance to Community Park in the City of Poway. The project included the construction of a new ADA compliant pathway as well as ADA 1 of 2

compliant picnic and barbeque areas along the new pathway. Enhancing ADA accessibility and connectivity at Community Park was a recommendation of the Community Park Needs Assessment.
This action accepts the FY 2024-25 ADA Barrier Removal -Buckley Street Phase I project as complete.
AB. Hashmi, Inc. has completed all work in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. A single change order, in the amount of $4,000.19, included costs for materials and labor associated with overtime work not included in the initial project scope. Overtime was deemed necessary to complete portions of work prior to the City's Winter Festival event. The final contract amount is $89,610.19.
