CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA
CITY COUNCIL AND FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES The City Council and Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District held a Special Workshop Meeting on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 in Tri-Communities, 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. Mayor L. Dennis Michael called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
CALL TO ORDER
Present were Council Members/Fire Board Members: Ryan A. Hutchison, Kristine D. Scott, Mayor Pro Tem Lynne Kennedy and Mayor L. Dennis Michael.
Also present were: Elisa C. Cox, City Manager; Mike McCliman, Assistant City Manager; Julie Sowles, Deputy City Manager; Peter Castro, Deputy City Manager; Jennifer Gracia, Deputy City Manager; and Jevin Kaye, Finance Director.
Council Member Ashley Stickler led the Pledge of Allegiance.
A. PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS

B. ITEMS OF DISCUSSION
B1. Discussion and Consideration of Proposed Budgets for Fiscal Year 2026/27. (Verbal Report) (Document is available for review at City Hall and https://www.cityofrc.us/your-government/budget) (CITY/FIRE) Elisa C. Cox, City Manager, along with Mike McCliman Assistant City Manager, Julie Sowles. Deputy City Manager, Peter Castro, Deputy City Manager, Jennifer Gracia, Deputy City Manager, Jason Welday, Engineering Director, and Jevin Kaye, Finance Director provided an overview of the budget and outlined the proposed Budget for FY 2026/27 via PowerPoint.
City Manager Cox addressed City Council/Fire Board questions and comments.
Council/Fire Board thanked staff for their work and dedication on the budget document. The Fiscal Year 2026/27 budget is scheduled for adoption at the June 23, 2026 Special City Council meeting. Adoption of the Fire Protection District Budget is scheduled for July 15, 2026.
C. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Michael adjourned the meeting at 4:43 p.m.
