SUBJECT: Final Acceptance of Tamarisk Neighborhood Pavement Rehabilitation, City Project CP 19-348
SPECIFIC REQUEST OR RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council accept the subject construction improvements and authorize staff to record the Notice of Acceptance with the County Recorder’s office.
JUSTIFICATION OR INFORMATION
This project constructed pavement replacement on six (6) cul-de-sac streets in the Tamarisk Neighborhood. The improvements included replacing asphalt pavement and aggregate base material, compacting subbase, placing aggregate base, paving asphalt, installing concrete cross gutter, and adjusting utility valves and manholes to finished surface, as well as all other appurtenant or related work.
The improvements, constructed by All American Asphalt have been inspected by staff and are in accordance with the contract documents. The contract work was completed for a total cost of $329,863.20.
Sufficient funds have been budgeted from Gas Tax Fund and Measure A Fund to pay for the project costs; therefore, no budget adjustment is necessary.
Staff recommends that the City Council accept the construction improvements and authorize staff to record the Notice of Acceptance with the County Recorder’s office.

Notice is hereby given that the following public improvements have been completed and accepted by the City of Rancho Mirage City Council on January 20, 2022.

Pursuant to Section 16.20.090 of the Rancho Mirage Municipal Code, the labor and material security (payment bond) shall be retained in full value for seven (7) months from the date of this acceptance.
This Notice of Acceptance is executed under authority of a directive from the City Council of the City of Rancho Mirage.
I, Vichet Kan, declare under the penalty of perjury that I am the Associate Engineer of the City of Rancho Mirage, that I am familiar with the facts stated in the foregoing Notice of Acceptance executed for and on its behalf, and that I have read the foregoing Notice of Acceptance and know the contents thereof to be true.
