Re: Written Public Comment for agenda Items: 1 & 2 of the unscheduled "Special" City Council meeting of August 16, 2022 at the unusual time of 11:AM
(Subbmitted in accordance with California's AB361)

Dear Current City Council members,

Please review my written statements listed below prior to publicly deciding on each agenda Item.

1) Agenda Item: 1 (the continue re-issuing of a City resolution to allow for City officials to potentially decive local residents)

Opposed -

Many attempts were made to the Rancho Mirage City Council members to cease with the Implementation of California's AB361 (elimination of California's Brown Act safeguards).

But, the current City Council have chosen to follow most California governmental agencies and allow for the abusive misuse of it's political powers to allow for back dating and pre-dating of it's resolutions in regards to AB361 while clearly not abiding to the letter of the law (AB361) as it was intended.

Please consider that continuing to allow City officials to decive local residents by using California's AB361 to avoid Public venues while attending other public event's will continue to be documented and perserved for future generations to observe how "our" local politicians and appointees were potentially ethically challenged.

2) Agenda Item: 2 ("Turf Rebate Program")

Opposed -

Please discontinue with what appears to be raiding of Public resources (City monies) for what is listed as "Turf Rebate Program".

The City of Rancho Mirage have a number of locations throughout the City boundaries that are compromised with over-watering/spraying and potential Irrigation leaks/breaks on City owned and or cared for properties.

It's concerning that City management is willing to assist with other private sector companys and City Homeowners with financial rewards for changing landscaping when the City has demonstrated that they haven't managed City Water waste under its control.

Concerned City Residents will do the right thing for their property with out City approved (potential special Interests) involvement and influence over how they use water thats allocated to them.

Sincerely,

Brad Anderson | Rancho Mirage, CA. | [email protected]
