Re: Written letter to be entered in the Public record and made available for public Inspection for the October 18, 2023 - City of Rancho Mirage Council meeting - Agenda Item: 2 (Eisenhower expansion) Dear current City Council members,
This letter is in opposition of the political decision to construct a City ordinance to protect the developer (Eisenhower hospital "health") over City of Rancho Mirage Resident's. (It's very unusual to construct a City law (Ordinance) to protect Interests of a private non-profit or any business over the Citys own best Interests)
It appears that this proposed project has been misrepresented to City Residents. The narrative of a memory care facility along with a child care center was deceptive to this resident in the matter that it was presented prior.

To date - it appears that three (3) administration building are planned for the proposed site. Along with an undescribed "Memory care" center, plus a Eisenhower "STAFF ONLY" child care center.

As City staff is aware, Eisenhower hospital has process other plans to build a proposed "Child Care Center" (STAFF ONLY) just East of the proposed building site on Country Club Drive. The City of Palm Desert have already donated five (5) million dollars for that (one) project.

Any reduction in the Citys imposed financial responsibilities to the developer (Eisenhower hospital "health") would be careless and worthy of Investigation from external forces if approved by City of Rancho Mirage Council members.

Consider treating every City Business and Resident in the same matter - that would Include NO Special favors to friends of the City Council. - Oposed special favors for special friends when using City of Rancho Mirage resources.

Sincerely,
Brad Anderson | Rancho Mirage, CA | [email protected]
