SUBJECT: Final Acceptance of Wolfson Park Expansion (CP 20-364)
SPECIFIC REQUEST OR RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council accept the subject construction improvements (Wolfson Park Expansion - CP 20-364) and authorize staff to record the Notice of Acceptance with the County Recorder's Office.
JUSTIFICATION OR INFORMATION
This project, located at 70-001 Frank Sinatra Drive, provided approximately one (1) acre to the existing one (1) acre park, and added a 20-space parking lot with handicap access improvements, EV chargers, walking paths, picnic areas, seating, and entry elements. The additions enhanced the well-used neighborhood park and connections to the Butler Abrams Trail.
The improvements performed by Three Peaks Corporation have been inspected by staff and are in accordance with the contract documents. The contract work was completed for a total cost of $1,369,313.20.
Sufficient funds have been budgeted therefore, no budget adjustment is necessary.
Staff recommends that the City Counc il accept the improvements and authorize staff to record the Notice of Acceptance with the County Recorder's Office.

Notice is hereby given that the following public improvements have been completed and accepted by the City of Rancho Mirage City Council on December 21, 2023.

The five percent retention payment shall be retained in full value for thirty-five days from the date of the recordation of the Notice of Acceptance.
The labor and material security (payment bond) sha ll be retained in full value for seven (7) months from the date of this acceptance .
This Notice of Acceptance is executed under authority of a directive from the City Council of the City of Rancho Mirage.
I, Ryan Stendell, declare under the penalty of perjury that I am the Public Works Director for the City of Rancho Mirage, that I am familiar with the facts stated in the foregoing Notice of Acceptance executed for and on its behalf, and that I have read the foregoing Notice of Acceptance and know the contents thereof to be true.
