SUBJECT: Final Acceptance of ADA Ramp Retrofit -Bob Hope Drive (CP 21-369)
SPECIFIC REQUEST OR RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council accept the subject construction improvements (ADA Ramp Retrofit -Bob Hope Drive -CP 21-369) and authorize staff to record the Notice of Acceptance with the County Recorder's Office.
JUSTIFICATION OR INFORMATION
This project includes removal and replacement of forty-eight (48) curb access ramps throughout the city to comply with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. Forty-four (44) of the ramps are located on Bob Hope Drive from Highway 111 to Casino Way, two (2) are located on Country Club Drive and Vista Del Sol, and two (2) are located on Monterey Avenue and Avenida Las Palmas.
The improvements were performed by LC Paving & Sealing, Inc. The improvements have been inspected by staff and are in accordance with the contract documents. The contract work was completed for a total cost of $854,300.00.
Sufficient funds were budgeted in the current FY 2023-24 budget therefore no budget adjustments are required.
Staff recommends that the City Council accept the improvements and authorize staff to record the Notice of Acceptance with the County Recorder's office.

Notice is hereby given that the following public improvements have been completed and accepted by the City of Rancho Mirage City Council on December 21, 2023.

The five percent retention payment shall be retained in full value for thirty-five days from the date of the recordation of the Notice of Acceptance.
The labor and material security (payment bond) shall be retained in full value for seven (7) months from the date of this acceptance .
This Notice of Acceptance is executed under authority of a directive from the City Council of the City of Rancho Mirage .
I, Ryan Stendell, declare under the penalty of perjury that I am the Public Works Director for the City of Rancho Mirage, that I am familiar with the facts stated in the foregoing Notice of Acceptance executed for and on its behalf, and that I have read the foregoing Notice of Acceptance and know the contents thereof to be true.
